Kind of reminds me of Collision course... Which makes me very angry... That album began Linkin Parks fall from being an awesome unique band to another generic emo band.
But to answer your question, no, mashing two songs up does not make it an original work... As the songs mashed up are not originally yours. If you were to mash up two of your own songs, then it would be an original work.
